Our Process For Exterior Painting

Surfaces to be painted will be pressure washed to thoroughly clean and remove surface contamination; receive further hand scraping, wire-brushing and sanding to remove remaining loose paint. Glossy surfaces will be sanded to dull existing sheen
Stucco damage will be repaired as needed, to match existing texture as close as possible. Hairline cracks will be repaired using a textured elastomeric patching compound and larger areas will be patched using acrylic stucco.
Wood facia and posts will have exposed cracks caulked or patched with an elastomeric patching compound brushed along the grain of the wood to blend with the existing texture.
Areas where different substrates (windows, doors, stucco etc....) meet will be caulked as needed with a 35 year flexible urethane caulking.
Patches, areas that have been scraped to the bare substrate and new previously unpainted surfaces will be primed with the manufactures recommended primer prior to paint application. Heavily oxidized surfaces will receive a clear bonding primer. Surfaces not to be painted (i.e., plants, concrete, windows, hardware, etc.) will be covered and protected with drop cloths and/or 2mil plastic.
Exterior sconces will be removed and have the insides painted.

Stucco surfaces will receive two coats of premium quality 100% acrylic exterior flat paint (Behr Premium Plus) applied at package consistency, without thinning. Stucco paint will be wet back rolled.
Doors will receive two coats of premium quality 100% acrylic exterior satin enamel (Behr Premium Plus) or stain and oil applied at package consistency, without thinning.

Up to three colors can be selected from the Behr color deck at no additional cost (Main color, Trim color, Accent color)

All work will be performed by experienced professionals, at a minimum of inconvenience to the residents. All employees will wear an Arizona Paint Pro’s company uniform and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
All work areas will be left clean and orderly at the close of each workday. All equipment, materials and tools will be removed from the work site on a daily basis.
All workmanship provided by Arizona Paint Pro’s will be guaranteed to meet or exceed industry standards as regulated by the Contractors State License Board.
Estimated time to complete painting project is approximately 8-10 days depending on the package chosen, crew size and notwithstanding adverse weather.

Arizona Paint Professionals will guarantee surfaces against paint peeling caused by improper preparation and material application for a period of 5-years from time of completion. Physical abuse, flat horizontal surfaces, water contact with painted areas, structural/ moisture-related problems, and other paint failures due to conditions beyond Arizona Paint Professionals control are excluded.
The guarantee becomes effective upon substantial completion of the specific building. Valid warranty claims shall be corrected on a priority basis.
